Halloween

We did not know what to expect for Halloween. Even though the supermarket and some stores in town have had candy and costumes for sale  for weeks, we hear that it is an American tradition and not a Mexican tradition and the only reason that some people dress up is because of the American media.
Just to be safe, we decide to buy some candy and go to the main square in town. As we walk to town it becomes obvious Halloween, the American Tradition, has really caught on here.
We sit in the main square and wait for kids to approach us.  It seems that the costumes are the important thing and most of the people giving out candy are tourists.  Mexican families sit or walk around the square and as with so many Mexican things it is fun and festive. The costumes are great and everyone is having a good time.
We have underestimated the amount of candy that we need and get change from a store to hand out.

When the activity in the square seems to be slowing down, we walk through town and we are surprised to find out how many kids in costumes are out.  The bartender at Memo's Bar is the Black Swan.

As we sat at the bar, even more kids came up to us.
