More Exploring

The rainy season lasted a little longer this year which means so did the humidity.  Most days, in the late afternoon, dark clouds would form in part of the sky and rain would fall either on us or near us.

Now, the temperature has dropped a few degrees and there is far less humidity.  The nights have also cooled down.  Almost perfect weather all the time!
The rainy season has taken its toll on the unpaved roads.  These roads are usually rough, now the water has created huge pot hole and crevices in the roads.  The streams and swamps have enough water to sometimes cover the road.
We enjoy exploring, trying to find different beaches and taking roads that we do not know that eventually lead towards the ocean.  Sometimes we find new and interesting places and sometimes we just have to turn around.
oops...where did the road go???

Ah! There it is across the river!

"Come on, be adventurous.  We can make it"!!!
John and Janet are new friends who are from Portland Oregon.  We spent a very pleasant day exploring with them.  We drive south along highway 200 to wards Acapulco and take side-roads towards the coast.

These trees are in bloom everywhere on the hillsides. Big white cluster flowers!

We find swamps with beautiful purple flowers that are covered with butterflies.

We find deserted beaches with pounding waves.

We find more impassable roads.

We find a little restaurant on a beach and have a wonderful lunch.

Lobster
Garlic butter shrimp
Fresh red snapper

We also went to the rock beach that we had visited last year.  The rocks are formed by the wind and surf and are like sculptures jutting out from the beach.  Sand, rocks and waves always make beautiful images.
